Pontiac 4 Barrel Intake manifold
The BOP intake is a single 4 barrel cast aluminum manifold designed from the ground up to outflow all other 4 barrel intakes available for the traditional Pontiac V-8. The casting fits most Pontiac cylinder heads including factory heads, Edelbrock heads (including wide ports), all Wenzler heads including the Super Chief (with or without the Super Chief's cast in spacer), all KRE heads (including the new tall port), and the new All Pontiac/DCI Tiger head (without the need for a head to intake spacer). The large port head intakes are is CNC port matched to each head type. All intakes will need some minor port matching/blending for optimum performance. The intake has a dominator pattern with a 1" spacer cast in The factory machined height is about equal to a Victor with a 1 5/8 " spacer. Bosses EFI and/or Nitrous applications are also cast into runners. Testing has shown the BOP intake worth an average of 35 hp, 20 lb-ft of torque, and a cleaner fuel curve across the rpm band. These results were attained in a back to back testing on a 515 inch Pontiac engine comparing a fully ported Edelbrock Victor with 1" spacer to a BOP manifold with just a port match and no plenum work. We expect to see gains in the 40-50 hp range.
